Light-weight and durable heavy duty doors, walls and windows for oil and gas and renewable power projects.
InterDam supplies architectural items for refineries, oil and gas platforms and offshore wind substation (platforms) since 2007. The fully fire and blast tested and certified designs cover A0 up to H120 fire ratings including jet fires and blast up to 2.5 bar. Standard or customized solutions for every hazardous location, which keep your people and equipment protected!
In July we performed a fire test on an extreme large heavy duty fire door with clear opening dimensions H 4.2 x W 3.3 meters. This door has been developed to meet the demands of operators and contractors for type approval certificates of extreme large fire doors. Doors for such large openings are mainly required to move equipment in/out a certain building. The fire test on the largest door that have ever been fire tested was successful in compliance with the IMO FTP code and European norm EN1634-1.
Offshore platforms have been built for over 50 years now. During that period four types of fire walls are developed. The recent developed 4th type is the sandwich wall construction, the so-called ‘G21 Fire Panel’ which has been tested by InterDam in compliance with the IMO standard for A60 and H120 fire resistance. G21 Fire Panel is weight-saving, quick and easy-to-install and substantially reduce overall costs!
In the following animation the 4th type the 'G21 Fire Panel' battles the 2nd type welded corrugated walls on the essential features: weight, installation, penetrations and costs.
See it yourself and decide which type your winner is!
The heaviest duty doors in the world with special characteristics to be resistant against fire and blast overpressures. For both on- and offshore environments and available in mild steel or SS316L quality.
Take a look at a yard in Belgium where substations for several offshore windfarms of Dong Energy are being constructed, InterDam has been awarded the architectural scope for these substation topsides and supplies internal and external fire resistant walls type ‘G21 Fire Panel’ and all offshore heavy duty fire resistant doors.
