InterDam engineers and manufactures specialized products aimed at maximizing ship survivability whilst minimizing weight. These doors are a crucial element for customers who implement the principles of Resilient Ship Design. The doors are designed to withstand the major effects of weapons damage that a naval ship can encounter, including ASM strikes and mine strikes. InterDam manufactures Level I and Level II blast doors, with our highest-specification doors being tested and certified to withstand blasts of 10 bar, shock loading and damage by fire at a significantly lower weight than competing products. Unique for a door with its capabilities, our Nadam 4 Level II door is manually operated with a single handle. Through our R&D and manufacturing experience, and in collaboration with our knowledge partners, we can also provide customized versions of these high-blast doors, for example to provide access for vehicles, or customized opening systems.
Project 1
InterDam designs and manufactures blast doors for onshore defense facilities, including munition depots. InterDam can supply very large sliding doors, for example 8m x 4m, with blast ratings above 7bar to protect onshore facilities. Smaller hinged doors with similar blast ratings are also part of our portfolio. As all engineering and manufacture is executed inhouse we can modify our designs to our customers’ specific requirements.
