Enabling ship survivability
InterDam engineers and manufactures specialized products aimed at maximizing ship survivability whilst minimizing weight. These doors are a crucial element for customers who implement the principles of Resilient Ship Design. The doors are designed to withstand the major effects of weapons damage that a naval ship can encounter, including ASM strikes and mine strikes. InterDam manufactures Level I and Level II blast doors that are tested and certified to withstand blast, shock and fire loads at a significantly lower weight than competing products. Unique for a door with its capabilities, our Nadam 4 Level II door is manually operated with a single handle. Through our R&D and manufacturing experience, and in collaboration with our knowledge partners, we can also provide customized versions of these high-blast doors, for example to provide access for vehicles, or customized opening systems.

Maintenance and repair
As well as providing ad hoc repair services and supplying spare parts, InterDam has been contracted by the Dutch Royal Navy for the long-term maintenance of all doors on the HNLMS Rotterdam, HNLMS Johan de Witt and HNLMS Karel Doorman. In this innovative contract, InterDam is responsible for maintaining all doors through proactive maintenance based on real-time data. Through this contract, InterDam is proud to contribute to the safety of the crews and operational effectiveness of the ships.
